I need to sketch out the content types I see myself needing for the PM site.

• Project Proposal (we are calling it a "Charter")

Project

The Project is the cornerstone of the whole enterprise.  At the moment, I'm debating using Organic Groups to handle the "team" aspects of the project.  There's a little tweaking and configuring that I will need to do, but it should be very viable.

Project Charter

The Charter is an outline of a project that will be created.  It contains a lot of information that is used to determine the viability of the project and set the priority for the project compared to other projects (drag and drop priorities will be an important part of the project system).

Task

A piece of a project. Tasks are primarily used for projects that are being "built", not projects that are in maintenance.

Ticket

A service request attacked to a project in maintenance.

Wiki

Project teams will need a collaborative workspace.

Event

Since this system will be used to track time spend and look ahead at upcoming projects, it's going to be important to be able to drop other dates into the caledar.  I'm planning to import iCal feeds, if possible, but there may still be other key dates that need to be tracked on a master calendar.

Time

Time tracking is one of the key things this site will handle. This form needs to be REALLY easy to handle, and if I can set up a page where a use can create multiple time records at one time, that will be a key functionality piece.  That would be ONE of the gaps in what I know how to do right at the moment.  Time to start poking around in the Drupal playpen!
