Tallgrass Film Festival

Tonight my year with the Tallgrass Film Festival starts up in earnest.  I'm introducing the original Terminator for one of our promotional event, and coincidentally I'm going to be picking up my first couple of movies to review for the programming committee.

This is the 6th year for tallgrass, and if you'll excuse a single year haitus when I was out of work and focused on other things, I've been around from the beginning, and working on the programming committee all of that time.

Tallgrass season has always been a hike -- it starts slow, with just the work of watching and reviewing movies (oh noes! don't make me watch movies!) and towards the end, as the festival nears, it gets to be much more intense -- and even though my work schedule and other committments don't allow me to get more involved with the planning, it's still an intense ride those 4-6 weeks that lead up to the festival.

So, tonight, it's Terminator.  The original.  Arnold is Bad.  Sarah Connor is going to die.  And Reese, well, he's just a man from the future sent back in time, naked, to protect Sarah and maybe even father the savior of the human race.

Awesome.
