Dark Sun Preview

The dark sun preview adventure is pretty cool. I never played DS back in the day, so it's all pretty new to me.

I'm playing a Thri'kreen shaman, and enjoying little pleasures like calling the Goliath "mud man" and the humans "pinks.

My favorite new mechanic, though, is Reckless Breakage. This is the mechanic that represents the poor quality of equipment. Basically, if you are using a non-metal weapon, if you roll a 1, you can take a reroll, but hit or miss your weapon breaks. If you happen to have a metal weapon, you can also take the free reroll, but your weapon only breaks on a natural roll of 5 or less.

Other stuff of note: no divine power source; arcane magic damages the world, and is apparently responsible for the state of things.
