What should I play Next?

I'm making myself crazy.

I have two sessions left in my current minicampaign, the Deadmen.  Once that ends, it's my turn to be a player again, and this time the campaign will start at level 16.

I can't imagine trying to whip up a couple of 16th level characters in such a short amount of time without the character builder.  Even with it, it can take a while if you're really thinking about your choices.

I have a couple of character concepts I'm toying with -- and I'm having a hard time deciding which I would like to play.  Here's the thumbnails . . . .

  • Harlin, Kenku Rogue (artful dodger/daring acrobat). Harlin is the latest in a series of theoretical rogues build with a heavy-duty focus on charging.  He's a Kenku, in this incarnation, because I just got a RPGA rewards card that allows me to create a Kenku character, and even though our home game obviously doesn't use those, having the card got me fixated on the idea.
  • Reverie, changleling wizard (illusionist/unseen mage/bardic dilletant).  Reverie is a changeling because the stats actually make a good match for a wizard with a little bard multiclass.  And because I'm intrigued by the idea.  He's an illusionist because that seems to go with the race, and because I wanted him to be a little different.  The other major difference with him is a HEAVY investment in ritual magic.  He's taken a variety of different bonuses to arcana skill checks, has purchased a metric shit-ton of rituals, and the plan is for him to really try to make ritual magic an important part of the game.  Again, he's a character who is testing an idea . . . . not sure how well it will work in our combat-heavy game.

I'm sure I'll have more ideas in no time -- and I'll continue to tweak and fiddle with these two.
